Thank you so much for taking some time to meet with me and celebrate your child's success. I am enjoying getting to know each student as an individual and can't believe how far we have come already! I am such a proud teacher!
Math: This week we will be wrapping up our math unit on multi-step word problems. Students are working this week to earn their detective mustaches through careful investigation of each problem! Science: This week we will be talking about refraction, reflection and shadows. We will be completing a few experiments this week as well. Grammar: This week we will be working on identifying the errors in our own writing. We will be using multiple color pens as we try to find each mistake. Last week I sent home a list of grammar expectations for you to see. This was just an FYI in case you were wondering where 3rd graders should be by the end of the year. Writing: This week will be all about character development and plot development. We will be using thought and detail to make dynamic characters. We will also be expanding the heart of our story to include a lot of detail. Reading: This week students will be working on completing a timeline project based on a biography. We will present these at the end of the week. Reminders: PE- Wednesday Kids' Food Basket - sign up is FULL! April 26th @ 4:00 (directions to come!)
