Halloween InformationAll of our fun Halloween festivities will be taking place on Thursday, October 30th. We will be completing curriculum as usual during the morning, but will have a lot of fun in the afternoon! Please send your child with their costume (school appropriate...no weapons) in their bag. They will change following lunch so that they are in costume for our parade. Weather permitting, we will have our parade at 1:00. The route is Park to Van Buren to 36th, to Curtis, back to Park. We will be walking through the Laurels. However, due to the large number of students and staff walking, we are asking parents to not come into the Laurels, but line the parade route. Our party will take place at 2:30 following second recess. Please feel free to join us! UpdateMath: This week we will continue to work on our second multiplication unit. We will be wrapping it up beginning next week and will test next week as well.
Science: This week we will continue to work on our animal unit. Students will be creating a project to highlight all that they learn about animal adaptations, habitats, and animal groups. Grammar: We will be continuing to work on verbs this week. Students will be learning about action verbs and linking verbs. Writing: This week we will be working on planning our second personal narrative. We will be focusing on raising the quality of our writing by adding detail throughout our writing. Reading: We will continue to investigate author's purpose this week. Reminders: PE - Tuesday Tuesday, October 28 - Turkey Trot @ 4:00pm Thursday - Skating Party 6:30
